'The Velvet Underground' reeditado en edición especial de lujo con material inédito

También aparecen remasterizadas estéreo mix en MGM por el ingeniero Luis Pastor 'Val' Valentin, que estarán disponible en CD sencillo, vinilo y en la edición 2CD Deluxe con bonus CD de 12 de los mejores temas de Live At The Matrix. También habrá versiones digitales del CD sencillo y de la Super Deluxe Edition incluyendo MFiT y formatos HD Audios.

   'The Velvet Underground' fue el tercer disco de la banda, tras 'The Velvet Underground & Nico' y 'White light/White heat', y fue publicado en marzo de 1969 por MGM suponiendo un nuevo camino para el grupo en más de un sentido. El más imporatnate fue la marcha del miembro cofundador John Cale y la incoprporación Doug Yule. La grabación fue también un salto estilístico en su carrera, sobre todo con respecto al ruidoso y experimental  'White light', centrándose más en las composiciones de Lou Reed. Varias de las canciones del disco se conviertieron en grandes clásicos para la banda como 'What goes on', 'Beginning to see the light' o la inmortal 'Pale blue eyes'.
